Evn yes, pidgeot is more efficient for solely preventing deck out, however you need something that can infinitely recover survival brace so lysanders trump card is needed
Lewis chai you are correct in that counter doesn't stack from every other turn, however in this scenario both players counters build off of eachother so they each do more. Ex: player A uses counter for 20, player B's conkeldurr has just taken 20 so they can counter for 40 then player A's conkeldurr has take 40 so player A can do 60...
