Seen other methods of super energy acceleration like electrode GX, but decided to give blastoise a try. With Archie's ace in the hole, blastoise is just as fast as electrode, capable of charging up on turn two.

vs seeker - synergy with battle compressor

night stretcher - synergy with battle compressor

dowsing machine - synergy with battle compressor

oranguru & skwovet - a quick combo to use archie's aith

wyrdeer V - 3 cuties most likely doesn't have the power to secure the final blow, but with 16 energy, wyrdeer does a untankable 640 damage.

Thorton - attach to 3 cuties but when opponent is rly fast with it and takes a knock out on your active, scramble over to mew and attach counter energy. all made easier with battle compressor.

what the flip
this card is stupidly powerful and broken
why the flip is this not banned and WHY IS NO ONE IN EXPANDED PLAYING IT!? THEY'D WIN EVERY TOURNAMENT!
if only this deck was quicker to set up. i'd throw in a rhyperior (Stellar Crown) or 3, cause that mew is just waiting to be slaughtered.

Mew getting gusted is definitely a legitimate concern. Since we aren't using electrode GX(quicker setup) here, the process will take more than a turn. I have added 2 Diancie Princess Curtain to counter gust. thx!

 

Oh and if ur fr wondering why this isn't played, it's in the category of gimmick decks, which expanded has quite a bit of. Gimmicks are super inconsistent in a META where everyone sets up turn 1 or 2 consistently. Gimmicks usually revolve around a strange winning method which usually is wiping out all the opponent's pokemon 2-3 turn or smth like this. The problem is that the success rate of these gimmicks is crazy low, Gimmicks like this have success rates of 30-50%, which means you lose more than you win, ultimately making them suboptimal in the META (unless ur alolan raichu T2OHKO which is the bane of my existence bc it actually works as intended a good amount.
