Deck 4/20 in my quest to make a deck for every PAR pokemon ex.

Since I'm just starting to make these decks, I'd figure I'd get arguably the worst ex from Paradox Rift out of the way. Toxtricity ex's first attack barely KO's most basic forms of evolving pokemon, while milling a single card off of your opponent's deck. Gaia punk is a bit better, hitting for 270, but at the cost of discarding three lightning energies off of your pokemon. To make things worse, it's a fighting type, meaning you can't

To make things worse, it's a fighting type, meaning you can't use electric generator on it once it evolves, so you're forced to discard energies off of benched pokemon if you want to attack again the next turn.

However, being a fighting type means you can use Grand to put your damage up to 300, and with Justified Gloves on top of that you can one shot a Charizard ex. Plus, with Supereffective Glasses, you can one shot most of the pokemon in a Miradon deck using Knocking Hammer. So, this deck does work. Kind of.

Feedback is welcome if you have any.

Put reversal energy in the mix, get that on toxicity EX that will cover your Gaia punk cost. Have your flaaffy's attach lightning energy to anyone on the bench. And keep in mind that gaia punk specifically says to remove three lightning energies from "your Pokémon". It does not say "you're active Pokémon" or any specific Pokémon at all. So you could potentially have it set up where your Flaaffy's will pull your burn cards from the discard to be ready to burn again every turn. It's a doable set up but I don't know how hard it would be to actually set up.

@U46raven  reversal energy only works on non rule box pokemon

KnoxLindahl I guess you could attach it to flashy and it would still count as three lightning energies for toxtricity to discard, but that could still be a bit awkward since reversal energy can't be searched or recycled. Thanks for the suggestion though,U46Raven

If you're going for standard then your deck is sadly full of gaps. Flaaffy with Dynamotor Grant, Escape Rope, Path to the Peak and Justified Gloves have been rotated out for tournament rules. (with E marker on the bottom left)

Arven + 2 pidgey + 2 pidgeot + 2 rare candy can easily fill any gaps helping with finding necessary cards. Removing a few energies to add 3 energy retrieval into the last slot helps cover energy discarding.

...This deck was published seven months ago. Of course it isn't standard legal anymore.

I'm willing to bet that this deck is now entirely unplayable without flaafy, so I likely won't update it, but thank you for the suggestions.
