Deck Primer

My take on the Tsareena V archetype within Expanded. The goal of the deck is to use draw support Pokemon to try and power up a Tsareena ASAP, and shuffle Giratina into the discard pile to ping damage onto your opponent's board, culminating in an explosive Queen's Orders, clearing your board of other liabilities. You see here many of the same cards that power the high-powered draw engines of Expanded, but a few weirdos here and there that I'd like to explain for the unfamiliar:

The goal of the deck is to use draw support Pokemon to try and power up a Tsareena ASAP, and shuffle Giratina into the discard pile to ping damage onto your opponent's board, culminating in an explosive Queen's Orders, clearing your board of other liabilities. You see here many of the same cards that power the high-powered draw engines of Expanded, but a few weirdos here and there that I'd like to explain for the unfamiliar:

  • Oranguru , Mr. Mime and Jirachi Prism make up a way to take an additional prize to edge ahead in the race (via a method I have begun referring to as 'Wingus & Dingus-ing'). With Oranguru on the bench and Jirachi in your hand, activate Oranguru's Ability and place Jirachi on top of your deck. Then, play down Mr. Mime (remember! You want to have Mime in hand before you activate all this, because tutoring for it would shuffle your deck) and swap the Jirachi with one of your prize cards, and make sure to take it when you take a KO, which will allow you to take another prize card!
  • FCO Mew is a method of disrupting your opponent's prize race by copying Tsareena's attack with a single prizer.
  • Sudowoodo is a very strange card and a great stax piece in an aggro deck, which limits your opponent's bench size to 4 (even if you have Sky Field in play, it explicitly states that your opponent must use the smaller bench size).
  • Absol lets you move the damage you establish on board with Giratinas around, either taking multiple prizes by KO'ing an evolving Pokemon on the bench or making it easier for Tsareena to hit her damage thresholds.

Computer Search is my ACE SPEC of choice, but I have considered swapping it for Max Rod to allow more efficient chaining. I have just found, in my experience, that a second unconditional tutor is something the deck values very much.
