Wave Crash (Starmie, Palkia, and Chien-Pao ex join forces)

Here's my main Pokémon TCG Deck 🌊.

As a fan of Water-type Pokémon, and its themes within the TCG, I made a deck that encompasses the best of both worlds: a more "meta-ish" Water engine of Origin Forme Palkia V + VStar, and Chien-Pao ex, which can both ditch a lot of damage, and then my favourite Pokémon, Starmie.

Starmie can win games mid- to late-game by sweeping some unexpected Benched Pokémon, and your opponent will almost always ignore Starmie due to the big threats

As a fan of Water-type Pokémon, and its themes within the TCG, I made a deck that encompasses the best of both worlds: a more "meta-ish" Water engine of Origin Forme Palkia V + VStar, and Chien-Pao ex, which can both ditch a lot of damage, and then my favourite Pokémon, Starmie.

Starmie can win games mid- to late-game by sweeping some unexpected Benched Pokémon, and your opponent will almost always ignore Starmie due to the big threats you have in play.

Provided they don't have a Manaphy 🛡️, Starmie can deal with two weaker Benched Pokémon (usually a couple, three if you get an amazing draw), and get those last 2 Prize Cards.

This deck gets rid of a lot of Energies to the Discard Pile:

· By retreating if you need to.
· By using Greninja's Attack and dealing 90 damage to Benched Pokémon (very helpful when Starmie isn't set up);
· By using Chien-Pao ex.

As such, there are three ways to recover energy here.

→ One being Energy Recycler ♻️, which makes your plays have more longevity.
→ You can also use Palkia VStar's Power to attach 3 energies from the Discard Pile to your Pokémon (in any way you like).
→ And lastly, a great way to deal good damage to your opponent, you can use 🐟 Hisuian Basculegion's attack, that doesn't even require an energy, to deal massive damage and recover all energies from the Discard Pile to the deck.

Then, you can continue using Eldegoss 🍃 for more energies in your hand, and Baxcalibur ❄️ to attach them.

The deck never has energy issues to the amount of ways you keep recycling energy, which also helps if your opponent wants you to have 0 cards in your deck (for certain strategies).

If you'd like to deal more damage to the Bench, Telescopic Sight can be used with Starmie or Greninja.

I have had a blast with this deck. The version of Gossifleur I use is helpful in the Expanded format, as it can bring in 3 Pokémon to your Bench!
However, if you want to play Standard, you need to replace this Gossifleur for another one, like the one from (EVS) + replace the Telescopic Sight with another Irida or Ultra Ball.

Since the deck has a lot of energy recycling and energy drawing, you can use Radiant Greninja 🌟 for that extra draw power.
If in a pinch, or if you have a bad start, Suicune V is a mini Greninja that gives you draw power + mini Palkia when it comes to damage.

Overall, I didn't build this deck to be solely meta-reliant, or a copy of what everyone runs, but a mix of powerful Pokémon with ones I like.
