Energy burn: Volcarona V + Rapidash

Main goal

Set Volcarona V (Evolving Skies) as the active Pokemon and discard ("burn") as much energy as you can before you attack with it.

Support

use a chained combination of helpers to discard energies:

- use Primordial Altar to discard the top deck card if it is an energy;

- if the top deck is useful, use the Trekking Shoes (Astral Radiance) to bring the valuable card to the hand. If not, check if it's an energy so you may discard it and buy another card.

- discard an energy using Radiant

Main goal

- discard an energy using Radiant Greninja (Astral Radiance)'s habillity, in order to buy 2 extra cards. Also useful in the scenario where the top deck is valuable, bringing it to your hand;

- discard an energy using Cinccino (Sword & Shield)'s habillity, buying 2 extra cards. Also useful if you are lacking energies to use in the previous steps, as you may discard any other card inplace.

- discard an energy using Rapidash, to enhance your damage in 30 pts + 20 pts of the extra energy in the discard pile.

- use Professor's Research (Professor Magnolia) (Sword & Shield) or Serena (Silver Tempest) to discard more energies and refresh your hand, in case any of the previous steps aren't available yet.

Advantages

- No more than one energy is needed to be attached to your pokemon, but you may choose to attach one per turn in Volcarona V (Evolving Skies) to set it to use its secondary attack, which disrcards two energies, helping setting the discard pile for the next turn.

- Every retreat cost is actually useful as the discarded energy will help setting the main goal.

- No remorse on discarding supporters. If your hand is weak but you also have important supporters like Boss's Orders (Shining Fates) or Serena (Silver Tempest), feel no fear to use Professor's Research (Professor Magnolia) (Sword & Shield), as discarding supporters may be later fixed using Pal Pad (Sword & Shield).
