The Tera Box Engine is a flexible toolbox package built around Tera Pokémon, Area Zero Underdepths, and a collection of powerful support cards that provide Bench expansion, consistency, Energy acceleration, and utility. Rather than focusing on a single attacker, the engine enables a wide variety of Tera Pokémon to work together by rewarding decks that maintain a large, resource-rich board state. At the heart of the engine is Area Zero Underdepths, which expands your Bench to eight Pokémon while a Tera Pokémon is in play. This additional Bench space allows multiple support Pokémon, utility attackers, and combo pieces to coexist, giving the deck far more flexibility than traditional strategies. While Terapagos ex is often the centerpiece thanks to its Unified Beatdown attack scaling with the size of your Bench, the engine is equally capable of supporting other Tera Pokémon depending on the deck's strategy. The Hoothoot and Noctowl line serves as the engine's primary consistency package. Once evolved, Noctowl's Jewel Seeker Ability lets you search your deck for any two Trainer cards if you have a Tera Pokémon in play, giving immediate access to the exact resources needed. Whether searching for setup cards, recovery, disruption, or a game-winning combination, Noctowl ensures the deck always has the right tools at the right time. The engine is further strengthened by several powerful support cards. Sparkling Crystal reduces the attack cost of Tera Pokémon, making expensive attacks significantly easier to use. The Lost Zone Technical Machine Engine builds upon the proven consistency of the Lost Zone core while incorporating Arven and multiple Technical Machine cards to create a highly adaptable control and toolbox engine. Rather than focusing solely on powering attackers, this version emphasizes flexibility by giving the pilot access to matchup-specific attacks exactly when they are needed. At the heart of the engine is the familiar Comfey, Colress's Experiment, Escape Rope, and Switch Cart package. Flower Selecting rapidly fills the Lost Zone while digging through the deck for key resources, allowing the engine to consistently reach the important Lost Zone milestones. Once four cards are in the Lost Zone, Cramorant becomes a free attacker that can pressure opponents from the opening turns. Because Lost Provisions ignores all Energy requirements for Cramorant's attacks, it also ignores the Energy costs of any attached Technical Machine attacks. This allows Cramorant to use cards such as Technical Machine: Blindside, Technical Machine: Crisis Punch, and Technical Machine: Devolution without needing to pay their Energy costs, turning it into an incredibly efficient and versatile toolbox attacker. After reaching ten Lost Zone cards, Sableye takes over as the primary finisher, using Lost Mine to spread damage counters across the opponent's board for efficient Prize trades and strategic knockouts. Built around Comfey's Flower Selecting, the engine rapidly fills the Lost Zone while digging through the deck for key resources. By combining Switch Cart and Escape Rope, Comfey can repeatedly move between the Active Spot and the Bench, allowing multiple uses of Flower Selecting each turn to accelerate setup. Once the Lost Zone reaches four cards, Cramorant becomes an efficient, Energy-free attacker capable of applying immediate pressure while conserving resources. As the game progresses to ten cards in the Lost Zone, Sableye becomes a powerful finisher, using Lost Mine to place damage counters anywhere on the opponent's board. This enables precise knockouts on low-HP Pokémon, multi-Prize turns, and disruption of support Pokémon. The engine reaches these Lost Zone milestones consistently through Colress's Experiment, one of the strongest Supporters in the format.
