Deck Primer

Slowly rising again.

Strategy: I'd recommend going second with this deck. Anyways, on your First Turn, try getting out 2-3 Charmander's, 1-2 Pidgey's (Typically getting out 1 is preferred), and Cleffa if you plan to use Grasping Draw. Then you have 2 Option's on what to do whether that be using Cleffa's Grasping Draw or to use TM: Evolution (Preferred Choice) in order to get out your Charmeleon and Pidgeotto out. Brock's Scouting helps find your Basic Pokémon or an Evolution Pokémon

Brock's Scouting helps find your Basic Pokémon or an Evolution Pokémon when you're under an item-lock or helps in the Early Game or to find your Pidgeot ex or Zard ex. Artazon helps search for your Basic Non-Rulebox Pokémon and Jamming Tower shuts off all Tools which can annoy your Opponent, do not use this card when you have Maximum Belt attached to Zard. Munkidori helps move damage off of your Pokémon and moves it onto your Opponent's which can help Zard get easier KO's even though it already has potential to do insane damage. Chi-yu helps as a single prize backup Attacker, which is especially helpful when your Active Pokémon like Zard is KO'd which allows you to do 180 Damage which can KO a few things. The 60 HP Charmander is here to just be able to OHKO a Budew or Cleffa earlier on into the game, but the Charmeleon with Combustion can already deal with Budew. Your goal is to hopefully set up your TM: Evolution in order to get out Zard and Pidgeot the turn after to then start swinging with Zard as well, though if you're Opponent happens to be bricked and your hand size is small, you can use Cleffa's Grasping Draw in order to get more cards in hand since they're bricked at that time. Maximum Belt, the ACE SPEC of choice, provides Zard an additional 50 Damage to ex Pokémon, which is epically helpful as Zard's Damage Output Skyrocket's due to it. Picnic Basket helps against Pult by ruining the Damage they spreaded with Pult. Mist Energy helps protect one of your Pokémon in the Early Game and Luminous Energy works on either Munkidori or Zard. This deck is quite simple to use as its strategy remains the same throughout the game, but do continue setting up Charmander's and recovering Energy with Super Rod in order to continue Attacking with Zard. That concludes the Strategy Section, so feel free to make any changes or to leave any suggestions!

CTC: The cards that I'd recommend adding into this deck will be sorted into a list with a brief explanation, if there are any cards here or any cards you'd wish to add from your own idea's/thoughts, cut out cards you don't find much use for. With that being said, here's the list:

- 4th 70 HP Charmander - Replaces the 60 HP Charmander and is probably more useful since Charmeleon with Combustion can already deal with Budew.

- 2-1-1 Dusknoir Line - Helps take KO's on the Bench or helps contribute to Zard taking a KO, and furthers Zard's Damage Output by giving up a prize from Cursed Blast.

- 1 Shaymin (DRI) - Not really needed, but the Bench Barrier it provides in the Early Game can help against a few decks like TeraBox.

- 1-2 Jacq's - Alternative to either 1 or both Brock's Scouting's.

- 1 Perrin - Alternative to 1 of the Brock's Scouting as well as you can reveal 2 Pokémon from your hand that you don't need, in order to find up to 2 Pokémon that you do need.

- 1 Briar - Helps take an additional prize when your Opponent is at exactly to 2 Prizes left, only add this in if the Dusknoir Line is added.

- 1 Nest Ball - Helps find a Basic Pokémon needed.

- 4th Ultra Ball - Helps further the odds of getting your Stage Two Pokémon out, I originally had this in but I cut one out for Night Stretcher.

- Picnic Basket - Helps against Pult.

- Unfair Stamp - Great Disruption Card.

- Prime Catcher - Great Gusting Card.

- Secret Box - Helps find the cards you need.

- Hero's Cape - Makes Zard tankier.

That concludes the CTC section, feel free to do whatever you wish with this deck, and have a good day!

This deck didn't really gain anything from Black Bolt and White Flare, so it's pretty much a similar build to what was ran in Destined Rivals.

LimeLemon What's the use in Picnic Basket? I don't see it doing much.

KingCarracosta avatar

I feel like Munkidori's enough to counter any spread the doesn't OHKO a cleffa or pidgey in the bench.

KingCarracosta Fair enough, have a good day! Also, Picnic Basket can still help at times though since it heals every Pokémon but it's more useful in the Early Game. Sorry for the late response by the way.

LimeLemon Thanks for answering my question! I hope you also have a great day.

I was also wondering if you could give me some advice on how to improve my tirtouga deckilst as I love the evolution line but the deck I've made struggles somewhat in the early game. If you could it would be a great help! If not that's fine.

KingCarracosta No problem! Also, sure I'd gladly help you with that!
