Deck Primer

Yet again another Pult Build.

Strategy: Like any other Pult deck, try and go second. Anyways, on your first turn, get out 2-3 Dreepy's, 1-2 Duskull's, 1 Budew (unless you're going first), and any other card you wish to get out. Your goal during this turn is to item-lock your Opponent with Budew's Attack, Itchy Pollen, while you slowly set up. Drakloak's Ability, Recon Directive is your main Draw Engine as it lets you choose between the 2 top cards of your Deck and lets you add 1 of those cards into

Drakloak's Ability, Recon Directive is your main Draw Engine as it lets you choose between the 2 top cards of your Deck and lets you add 1 of those cards into your Hand. Hilda, which was gained from White Flare, replaces Jacq because it finds you an Evolution Pokémon and an Energy (Special Energy included), which helps you get out your Luminous Energies and the ACE SPEC of choice, NUE (Neo Upper Energy) which allows you to attack with Phantom Dive right away with Pult. Hilda also helps find Dusclops, Dusknoir, Drakloak, and Pult which is insanely helpful. Anyways, Hawlucha spreads 1 Damage Counter to 2 of your Opponent's Benched Pokémon which helps with Pult's Attack, Phantom Dive to allow you to KO Pokémon with 70 HP, and Munkidori helps spread even more Damage via Adrena-Brain, Munkidori's Ability, which when a Darkness/Luminous Energy is attached to that Pokémon, you can move up to 30 Damage from 1 of your Pokémon onto your Opponent's, which this is insanely helpful with Pult's Phantom Dive Attack. Dusclops and Dusknoir also spread even more damage making KO's much easier to reach and since they give up a prize card when using Cursed Blast, you can take advantage of Counter Catcher even further. Night Stretcher is insanely helpful at recovering your Pokémon or a Basic Energy, Iono is here for disruption, and Professor's Research allows you to get bigger hand sizes. Bloodmion Ursaluna ex helps as a Backup/Endgame Attacker, allowing you to take your remaining Prize Cards to win the game. Latias ex gives your Basic Pokémon Free Retreat. Jamming Tower shuts off all Tool Cards, which is helpful against many decks especially those that run Big Basic Decks with Bravery Charm. This deck is quite aggressive and seems to be the best Pult Build results wise so far. That concludes the strategy section, so feel free to make any changes, ask any questions, or to leave any suggestions!

CTC: The cards that I'd recommend to add in as an alternative will be sorted into a list with a brief description, if there are any cards here or any cards you wish to add in from your own thoughts/ideas, cut out any cards that don't fit your preferences or any cards that you don't find needed, with that being said, here is the list:

- 1 Shaymin - Provides Bench Barrier for your Non-Rulebox Pokémon, it only blocks Snipe Attacks though but it doesn't block Damage Counters.

- 1 Maractus - Lets you stall a bit with Corner, and can force your Opponent's Active Pokémon to take 60 Damage when Maractus is KO'd.

- 2 Jacq's - Alternative to Hilda, and finds 2 Evolution Pokémon. (Hilda is still better but if you don't own Hilda yet, use Jacq instead).

- 2 Brock's Scoutings - Alternative to both Hilda and Jacq.

- 1 Turo's Scenario - Resets one of your Pokémon by putting it into your hand and discarding all attached cards to it.

- 1 Arven - Finds your Item Cards and Tool Cards if you add any.

- 4th Night Stretcher - It's generally recommend to run 4 for more recovery options, but I run 3 so I can have 1 Rare Candy in case it's ever needed to be more aggressive by getting Pult or Dusknoir out right away.

- 1 Switch - Helps pivot into other Pokémon or can even help you when your Pokémon is trapped in the Active Spot.

- 1 Earthen Vessel - Finds your Basic Energy, this isn't needed at all though since only 3 Basic Energies total are ran.

- Unfair Stamp - Alternative to NUE and Sparkling Crystal.

- 1 Air Balloon - Gives most of your Pokémon Free Retreat.

- Sparkling Crystal - Alternative to NUE.

- 1 Artazon - Alternative to Jamming Tower.

That concludes the CTC (Cards to Consider) section, so feel free to do whatever you want with this deck and to have good day!

The rest of the description will release shortly.

Why does this thing have to be so good

LimeLemon avatar

The CTC section and Extras section may take a while before they're added, I apologize for this.

LimeLemon avatar

The description has been finished!

LimeLemon avatar

Bnt  Pult will always be good unfortunately, almost all of its variants succeed as Pult is an easy deck to pilot.

inkessant avatar

with the new sets coming everyone will have to play either Gardevoir ex or Dragapult ex to succeed; not excited for this new meta

LimeLemon avatar

inkessant Agreed, though some decks can get a bit better like Mega Venusaur ex, Meganium, and Lush Forest buffing Grass Decks, Mega Manectric ex can work decently well with Miraidon ex, and Lillie's Determination providing decent draw support to some decks. Though, Pult and Gardy will most likely continue to dominate in that format.

inkessant avatar

LimeLemon yeah, fair. I'll probably try playing a blitz deck with M Venusaur ex; I'm just worried about how broken Mystery Garden is inevitably going to be.
