Most GLC fire lists play Magcargo and Welder, but I believe these cards are a trap. Magcargo in particular takes some effort to put into play, and it being on the bench limits your options for other good support Pokémon. The idea of this deck is that you should be able to bench a number of attackers and draw into something that accomodates at least one of them. Welder is not as much of a "trap" as Magcargo is, but playing Welder + Blacksmith together can make it harder to fit good staple

The idea of this deck is that you should be able to bench a number of attackers and draw into something that accomodates at least one of them. Welder is not as much of a "trap" as Magcargo is, but playing Welder + Blacksmith together can make it harder to fit good staple cards in the deck. Blacksmith is preferred over Welder because energy tends to gravitate towards the discard.

This deck prefers energy-efficient attackers. Thinning the deck with Battle Compressor is pretty powerful. Both Rosa and Green's Exploration are really good for setting up your initial board. Green's only works if you have no ability Pokémon in play, but the condition is manageable when Salazzle is the only stage 1 Pokémon with an ability.

Notable Cards:

- Green's Exploration and Rosa are flexible cards that help you build your board state

- Salazzle has synergy with Mallow and Training Court

- Houndoom is a Pokémon that I haven't seen a lot of people play, yet the condition is very easy to meet.

This deck is marked as a WIP. Lusamine might be a nice card to try to win the stadium war. I'm not sure if both Zisu and Acerola's Premonition are necessary. Replacing one of those cards with Welder is probably fine. Burning energy seems like a good include, but special energy cannot be used with Salazzle. From my testing I've found that being able to use Roast Reveal is more important than keeping one additional energy. Cinderace can oftentimes be loaded with 4 energy before attacking, making a follow-up very easy. Lastly, a normal switch card might be nice to have. Scoop up net is used because you can Scoop up Salazzle in order to use Green's Exploration. A normal switch would be nice for Cinderace.
