The main driver of this strategy is 6 stage 1 evolution lines which mostly can be relied upon to execute the strategy regardless of starting Pokemon (all but Steelix, which can be necessary to employ a stall in the event that you yourself are at risk of benching out). The spice in the list is Claydol, which at its best has attached a Protection Cube, Stone and Strong Energy, with an active Training Center, which makes it a 150 HP stage 1 dealing 220 damage and taking -20 damage from attacks. Setting up this play is hopefully a check mate, and many cards are assigned to the role of setting it up. The Ninja Boy is there to increase the probability of the turn 2 attack by mitigating the effects of prizing, making best use of available resources, and even to swap out the Onix. The deck runs very light on draw and instead relies on specific search to get the trainer or pokemon needed to get the job done with whoever you start the game with. Rescue Scarf and Klara can extend the game should the opponent stabilize. Be warned: there will be mulligans, and top decking mode is likely to be activated from the get-go. But don't worry, because your main draw engine is taking knockouts.
