I like it I find the Gym Leader Challenge Decks interesting, but also hard to build because you have so many more cards to choose from than only standard while also having to take consistency into account with the limited number of any given card.
Unsure about the balance but some cards that come to my mind when speaking poison in standard that may help this deck are:
Atticus (Paldean Fates) you will usually have the opponent poisoned so this maybe helpful but I have to admit without an ability to apply the poison it can just be a dead draw for a turn.
Arbok (Temporal Forces) I really like the panic poison for its low energy cost adding 3 status conditions to the opponent at once, but its another stage 1 so maybe not too great as addition
Dragalge (Crown Zenith) is also a pretty interesting choice for big poison numbers quick but same as arbok really
There are most likely better options in the bigger card pool those are just the first things that came to my mind when looking at your list and my mostly standard knowledge.
