You could probably shift the focus of the deck from machamp more to pigdeot since it can get powered up faster than the machamp, but I know almost nothing about gens 1 and 2 and how to better focus on the pidgeot
Hey Daelster - you're right in that the Pidgeot can definitely get powered up faster with DCEs and Recycle energies, but Fling is just way stronger than Hurricane because tossing those cards into your opponent's deck prevents them from just being able to place the basic back down onto the bench on their next turn from their hand.
I have been thinking about adding some Imposter Oak's Revenge Trainer cards in there so after you Hurricane you could use that Trainer during your next turn so your opponent would lose energies and evolution strings if you Hurricane'd a Stage 2, I'm just not sure what I'd want to pull out to put that in.
In regard to powering up - that's what the 2 Exp.All's are there for: to help energy ramp that Machamp to need a minimum of 3 turns instead of 4 turns to get Fling online.

Too bad recycle energy is not a rainbow energy too.
