Crazy Gimmick. Not practical for competitive play. High C tier at best.

Palosand GX = Palosand ex SSP

This deck makeshift, made with a time crunch, and could use some work. Comment suggestions below.

The new Palossand's attack is really lackluster, only doing slight work on low HP mons. Only decent spread in Standard, garbage in Expanded. This is my attempt to make it work, as suggested by another user.

Shamelessly ripped off of Frozen Maelstrom (REUSE GX) - PokemonCard made by another user. Inspiration

Sandslash's GX attack does 100 damage to opponents with damage counters. Perfect for Palossand as palossand puts damage counters as well as putting them at exactly 100 HP. Both pokemon need 3 energy, not crazy amounts like the 12ish that Alolan Raichu needs. This means that Electrode GX is overkill and much too turbo for the slow nature of this deck.

Your first turn requires you to play Archie's ace in the Hole to get Vitality spring first turn, this creates inconsistency attempted to mitigate with 4 mail, 2 lumin, compressor engine, and secret box. Activate Archie's AITH by discarding bricks with the massive amount of discard costs, then expend the playable cards. Get three on both palossand and sandslash. Use a supporting mon like Crobat as a meatshield.

Second turn can go many ways depending on how the opponent responds.

3+ rule box in play: checkmate.

Mix of rule box and non rule box equal to 6 prizes: Weezing roxie, then checkmate.

All less than 110 HP: checkmate even without palossand.

Other circumstances might be tough, but most decks use so much support that one of the three will be true by second turn. Use Horn to make attempt to reach these conditions if the opponent doesn't do it themselves.

Palossand will likely be KOed after the second turn. This doesn't matter since you aren't using scramble switch or smth. Opponent will likely be at.

There are lots of problems that could arise, if consistency wasn't already an issue.

Then again, realistically, why would you even use pallossand if you could use Sandslash like, 3 times with MandL?

Put some suggestions if you like. Like I said, it's makeshift and may need tweaking.

Yes, a more defensive build works the nature of this strategy much better. Laso, I didn't realise that Sandslash GX exists, and that one works so much better!

With that being said, a potential tech for this would be Milotic (Twilight Masquerade) with its ability to prevent scooping effects. You wouldn't need to invest much for it, since it can evolve from Ditto in the very specific circumstances where it helps, and works as discard fodder everywhere else. And would you say that Captivating Poké Puff (Steam Siege) is interchangeable with Horn?

CountyGibbon798 Siegislash's deck is what made me realize that sandslash exists so... heh...  I can't say I knew abt it either.

Milotic is good thinking (although I'd use Mr. Mime (Team Up) instead) but yeah I get what you mean. It does help greatly since Acerola is crazy popular in expanded.

For Captivating poke puff, it almost never struck me as a good card. Think about how you, as the opponent will play. You get a support mon, you see they are using spread and don't desperately need it, you use it as discard fodder or reset you hand with another draw power. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's still unlikely that basics are in a player's hand. So in that sense, it may be more interchangeable with flute instead in the sense that both are equally inconsistent. Horn (or the team flare thingie they're the same), on the other hand, surpasses them both since the discard pile is the best place for the opponent to put support 2 prizers they don't want to bench. Puff is def still playable, it just may outclassed, especially in slower decks like this.

Battle Compressor I kinda feel stupid for not considering Sandslash, since I literally had it sitting in my binder for the last 4 years lol. I guess Poké Puff is only great in decks that require the Pokémon to be in play (like Palkia VSTAR who can use it in tandem with Target Whistle/Echoing Horn). Idk, I think I'm biased because of how goofy the implications of the card itself are. Also I didn't realize Mr. Mine's existence, so that's just flat-out better lol.

CountyGibbon798 I too love to imagine what's happening with these cards interations ❤️

Dedenne loves pokepuffs nom nom nom I still remember scenes from the anime... nostalgia hits hard. 🧁🧁🧁

Also I have tested with Pokepuff multiple times, mostly with Omastar Item lock and I've concluded that the card unfortunately... sucks. Like, even worse than compressor described it. It only worked 1/8 ish times I used it (though it was satisfying when it did work), and the opponent was at 5-8 card hands for most of the attempts. The one biggest advantage of Target Whistle (or horn) imo is that you will only play it when you can confirm that it works, so it's never actually put to waste, whereas puff is a gamble almost every time. That alone makes puff much worse than whistle at least imo. (maybe in turbo donks puff could prove better than whistle but most decks that run bench force aren't those)

thx for using my sandslash deck Battle Compressor ❤️ I still feel like it needs some work though. 😅

Siegislash now that you put it into the context of guaranteed rewards vs gamble, I can see how much better that can turn out. Since I'm currently driving my head into a wall working out a list that would appreciate forcing cards into play on the opponent's side, I'll definitely consider this. Thanks!

Siegislash I didn't even realize that aspect. That you don't even get to see your opponent's hand before playing so Its a gamble unless you use a hand seeker card.

Unfortunately I have never watched the pokemon anime and will never experience this sensation. Rip.

I am willing to give your deck suggestions if you like once I have the time.
