yeah ive been doing some testing with other lost zone decks and I really like the banette maybe even a 2-2 line.

unfortunatly v guard energy cannot be stacked

Since medicham doesn't count as damage you could go for a similar effect by replacing weavile with something like Alolan raticate from po go....

Another zero energy deck that works quite well is zoro box with mainly arcanine but also mightyena and hisuian zoroaek 

Also you mentioned no boss in the deck, I play cross switcher for the effect of boss.

I love this list one suggestion: swap the basic fary energy for unit energy (fairy,metal,fighting) so they can be accelerated

I have been playing lots of arc/drago and I like the list but I ould get rid of the gardenias and adventurers discovery and add one lance
